Tuckfield’s bookkeeping stays on track with Tashly

“I love that I now have clarity and that things are being done right, on time, when they’re needed.”

This sums up the feeling of relief that Tuckfield Conveyancing’s Sam Phillips has enjoyed since Tashly Consulting has been managing her bookkeeping.

Before this, the Tuckfield Conveyancing owner had been “doing the basics” herself with some help from her accountant.

“I didn’t realise at the time how demanding, time-consuming and energy draining it all was – for me,” Sam said. “And there was so much that I didn’t understand, and that was just with doing the basics.”

Sam also thinks about the tasks and opportunities she may have missed, simply because of a lack of industry knowledge.

“When I started working with Tashly, the biggest thing that stood out was them taking away the mental drain and knowing that it was all being taken care of, in so many areas,” Sam said.

“It wasn’t just one thing that was taken off my plate – it was many, many things.”

Sam has been running her own conveyancing business for more than 20 years. After humble beginnings as a sole trader from a home office, Tuckfield’s now has a team of eight staff with two offices – in Manningham and Morphett Vale in Adelaide.

Tuckfield Conveyancing’s team members share a common goal – to ease the mental load for people when property changes hands.

“We love helping people when they’re buying or selling property. It can be a very exciting time, but it can also be very stressful,” Sam said. We have the knowledge and experience to help people during that time.”

Just as the Tuckfield team draws on their conveyancing training and experience to help clients with property transactions, Tashly Consulting’s understanding of all things bookkeeping has freed up invaluable headspace and time for Sam, meaning she has more capacity to focus on her business.

When it comes to industry changes that could affect her business or staff, Sam values how Team Tashly stays ahead of the curve and provides timely advice when needed.

“This could be anything from payroll to superannuation to tax requirements,” she said. “Tashly’s keep me updated and let me know of the things that either I need to do, or that they’ll take care of – and that I don’t need to worry about!

“They are really good at updating me on what the industry changes are.”

Not only has working with Tashly’s helped Sam to better manage her books, but it has also meant she now has a much clearer picture of where her business is at, financially. This puts her in a much stronger position to plan ahead.

“What’s stood out the most is the clarity that Tashly’s has provided to me as a business owner – knowing my figures, getting the reports, knowing where things are at,” Sam said.

“They’ve helped me to look at where my money is being spent and where I can cut it. They’ve helped me to look ahead. I know I can trust them and that they’re on top of everything.”
